GENERAL:
Andres F. Quintana, Esq. is a principal at the Quintana Law Group, APC and was selected as a “Southern California Rising Star” (2006 and 2007) by Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine, recognizing him as one of the top up-and-coming lawyers in Southern California.

As an experienced trial lawyer, Mr. Quintana practices in all areas of general civil, commercial and intellectual property litigation and arbitration, including appeals.

Mr. Quintana is a former trial attorney at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where he was conferred a Special Achievement Award by the Attorney General of United States. He is also a former litigation and intellectual property partner at the Beverly Hills-based Ervin, Cohen & Jessup LLP.

Mr. Quintana received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he served on the editorial boards of two of the law school’s journals and was a member of Moot Court Board. Mr. Quintana also received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley, and a recipient of several academic scholarships.

Mr. Quintana is a member of several national, state and city bar associations and has been admitted to practice before all California courts, and various federal district and appellate courts.

eFund Capital Partners v. Pless, et al., 150 Cal. App. 4th 1311 (2007)(Successful appeal to reverse court order in corporate dispute; Appellate decision expanded the scope of arbitration provisions in California business contracts)

William Krisel v. Pro-Active Business Services, Inc., 2006 WL 5668181 (C.D. 2006)(Successful dismissal of trademark, trade dress and copyright claims in Architectural Works lawsuit)

Global Mortgage Funding, Inc. v. Soma Financial, Inc., et al., Orange Cty. Sup. Ct., Case No. 06CC05367 (Nov. 16, 2006)(Successful demurrer to dismiss trade secret misappropriation lawsuit filed by competitor)

Bellehumeur v. Bonnett, 127 Fed.Appx. 480, 2005 WL 548203 (Fed.Cir. 2005)(Successful appeal in patent infringement lawsuit; Obtained complete reversal of infringement judgment and attorney fee award against defendant)

Cambridge Electronics Corp. v. MGA Electronics, Inc., 227 F.R.D. 313 (C.D.Cal., 2004)(Successful defense of claims for civil conspiracy and liability under California's Unfair Business Practices Act.)

Jones v. Wells Fargo Bank, 112 Cal.App.4th 1527 (2003)(Successful appeal concerning novel issue under California’s Financial Code)
